not what expected, April 14, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Serenia Natural 1-1/2-Inch Natural Latex Topper, Queen (Kitchen) This topper has defects on both sides and a tear. It's really fragile and comes apart easily. I have small pieces of the latex foam all over the bed and it a pain to clean up. It started to disintegrate the moment it came out of the package

Also, topper arrived with NO rips, tears or flaking at all. And though I would really like to have known what ILD it was prior to purchase, the risk paid off and its just the right amount of support and spongyness. Really happy to be getting the benefits of latex without spending the $200-$300 that seems typically necessary. Granted, I'm sure this product is not top of the line and is most likely a latex hybrid (i.e. not 100% natural) but with an organic all cotton mattress topper on it that really doesn't worry me in the least. This topper has bailed me out of a panic brought on by my brand new mattress which turned out to be quite a bit firmer than I thought it would be. Rather than paying the swap fee to change the mattress out,(nevermind the risk of ending up with something too soft) this proved to be a very worthwhile gamble on something that had pretty mediocre... I tried sleeping on it anyhow since the latex itself seemed ok, but you do FEEL the glue seems when laying on them, it's not comfortable at all. I didn't want the hassle of repackaging it for return (if I even could), so ended up cutting it up with a pair of scissors and making a nice dog bed out of it. There are nicer toppers out there so beware of the lower prices like this one.. it really wasn't a good deal in the end (except for my dog).
