It is not subject to harsh treatment but is handled with care. It's not as thick and plush as I thought it would be, but when I sleep on it I feel wonderful. I feel cozy, comfortable and am neither too hot or too cold. I did install a thin foam topper below the wool topper since I use this for my RV. I am wondering if i will need to do repairs or have it recovered. For the money it seems it should be sturdier,but overall since it provides a wonderful sleep, I am happy.
